ABOUT
I am a recent PhD Graduate from Imperial College London in the Department of Medicine,
Section of Paediatric Infectious Diseases.
I submitted my PhD thesis in July 2022. My thesis was titled: "Using host “omic” datasets to better understand and diagnose paediatric infectious and inflammatory disease." My PhD was supervised by Dr. Myrsini Kaforou,
Dr. Jethro Herberg
and Prof. Mike Levin.
My PhD was funded by the Wellcome Trust as part of the Wellcome Trust PhD Programme in Bioinformatics and Theoretical Systems Biology at Imperial College London.
My PhD thesis focused on using omic datasets to understand and diagnose paediatric infectious diseases.
In my PhD, I used bioinformatic approaches to identify novel biomarkers for diagnosing bacterial and viral infections and to explore the heterogeneity in the host response during disease.
My research is highly interdisciplinary, spanning aspects of statistics, machine learning, biology, bioinformatics and medicine.
Prior to starting my PhD in 2018, I completed an MSc. in Bioinformatics and Theoretical Systems Biology at Imperial College London and an undergraduate degree in Biology at The University of Manchester.
